Meet Dani
On the surface: A mother of three and wife of one. A holistic health researcher, educator, and natural medicine maker. An artist. But underneath it all: A simple spirit seeking nothing but to create, enjoy, and spread beauty.
After going through some difficult health challenges in her late teens and early 20’s, and struggling to find answers the ‘conventional ’ way, Dani began her journey into understanding health from a more holistic view. She started to see the autoimmune type illnesses she was experiencing as something to work with, rather than work against, and finally began to get better. Almost 20 years later she continues to research, and now also educates others on the body’s innate healing capabilities as a Clinical Herbalist.
Along the way she also picked up a camera and a paint brush. Allowing her creative side to shine and surrounding herself with energies she considers beautiful, she says, has become one of her most potent ‘medicines’ in her personal ‘apothecary’.
In her words :
“Through my experiences thus far, I’ve learned that this thing we call life is all about frequency. Energy. Everything. From the food we eat. To the people we hang out with. To the place we choose to live. To the medicine we take. This all affects how we look, feel, and even act. I also believe that surrounding ourselves with ‘beauty’ is especially important. It is an obvious energetic vehicle for our feelings, and therefore our health, be it good or bad. It all depends on how much we see of what we consider beautiful. And not just in the physical sense. Some call it ‘vibes’. We all perceive beauty differently. For me what stands out are the words ‘nature, simplicity, and bright’. I like to think of what comes out in my artwork as a piece of me remembering Heaven. I think we all have it in us to ‘remember’. In fact, I believe re-learning this process is exactly what we call ‘healing’.”
Every piece of artwork and every recipe she concocts for her clients comes from her need to create, to feel beauty, and to ensure she helps others on their own path of healing, as so many have helped her.
Dani holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Psychology & Human Relations, a Master's Degree in Education, and is a certified Clinical Herbalist. She combines all three of these trainings in her practice.
Dani calls Chicago, NYC, and now Austin, TX home.
