'Wine' You Need To Experiment On Yourself
The more you read my blog and get to know me, the more you will see that I truly believe that every body is different, that we all need to experiment on ourselves, and that we should take everyone and everything else with only a grain of salt and willingness to test it out for ourselves, with no expectations at all except finding out what works best for us.
That's it.
That's good health in a nutshell.
Today I want to explore this topic a little more. And it's not going to be the only time that I do this. Because it's evident in every aspect of health.
Wine.
Some people love it. Some people hate it.
Some people realllllly love it.
Yet most people consider it a 'health food'.
At least when taken in 'reasonable quantities'.
'In moderation'.
Why?
And what is a 'reasonable quantity'?
What is 'moderation'?
A glass a day? A glass a week? A couple of glasses a night? Only wine on the weekends with friends?
That depends on who you talk to.
And which ONE study you find or follow.
Because as you will see, especially if you continue the research on your own, is that all studies on wine 'proving protective effects' or never seem to answer all of our questions completely.
(And I’m not saying it doesn’t. It very well may.)
Namely the simplest of all:
How does drinking wine compare to not drinking wine in healthy individuals eating healthy, whole foods?
Not one, simple randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled study exists to tell us how wine might compare with not drinking wine.
Which is supposed to be the gold standard for science, isn't it?
And so how can we know for sure if wine is good, or not?
(In general terms anyway. I still encourage you test yourself! With wine, without wine…)
So read the studies and papers below.
Think about what I'm saying.
Ask yourself those questions.
And, as always, make sure to experiment on yourself.
You be the judge!
Happy reading.
