OMAD - A Successful Lifestyle Choice Or A Short Lived Craze?

OMAD - A Successful Lifestyle Choice Or A Short Lived Diet Craze?

Dietary Fasting: going without food intentionally (or not) for a select period of time.

'Intermittent Fasting': fasting for a period of time each day, and eating for only a period of time each day.

OMAD: One meal a day.

Otherwise known as 23:1.

23 hours of fasting.

1 hour of eating.

1 healthy meal.

And then back to fasting.

Some people may think this sounds crazy.

Some people may think this sounds intriguing.

Is it a craze? Or a pretty healthy way of living, for some, or for most?

The truth is, we just don't know.

You'd have to decide for yourself.

I've been playing around with this one for years.

It began when I was studying tribal people. This is generally how they eat. Maybe a few berries during the day, here and there, or tubers, when found and when available and in season, but generally the tribe gets together at night with their 'finds and catches of the day' to share with one another, feast-style.

So I tried it for myself.

And today it's personally my favorite way to live.

And favorite way to fast.

Sometimes I give it up in order to prove to myself that I don't have to be a rigid person, and to ensure flexibility in my character.

But OMAD is still my favorite lifestyle choice.

For me it's easy.

It makes me feel my best.

It's the cheapest way to eat healthy (think about it: one meal a day of the BEST quality food you can afford for most of us means you can afford higher quality than usual, since you're only eating once for the entire day.)

It's been an experiment for quite some time for me, one without any real studies to back it up.

And that's fine for me. Because I truly believe that experimenting on yourself should be the number one priority, always.

But today I'm going to share the only two studies I could find on the matter so that you can read them.

Consider them.

Maybe also consider reading about others' experiences eating the OMAD way.

Read up a bit on intermittent fasting studies, and fasting studies, since there are plenty more of those available.

And maybe try it for a time and see how you feel.

(P.S.You may have to intermittent fast for a regular period of time first before you take it a notch up and try the OMAD way.)

Have fun!
