The Five Elements Cookbook - Gong

The Five Elements Cookbook

By: Zoey Xinyi Gong

I don't often use recipe books.

Though I'm trying to start.

And I definitely never share recipe books here.

But this one, I think worth it.

We can read all about the vegan diet, the plant based, the vegetarian, the gluten free, the grain free, the dairy free, the carnivore, the low-fat, the keto, the ...list...goes...on.

And many of those recipes, by now, if you've ever experimented with diet at all, are either self-explanatory, easy enough to figure out, or has been served to you by someone else on the said diet. They're even all over the menu at our American restaurants today.

You're somewhat aware and educated already.

But a recipe book educationally teaching you how to cook the 'Traditional Chinese Medicine' way....well that's still completely foreign to most of us.

Even for those of us who have studied TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for a bit.

This book is excellent because it provides you a basic understanding of the diet, as well as TCM in general - a way of life, health, and medicine since the beginning of organized ancient medicine as we know it - and gives feedback on exactly the type of ailments, short-term or longstanding, that will benefit from each recipe provided.

It's a pretty cool book.

Soo...

Go and get it. :-)

Happy reading!
